2010 INDUCTEE JOE KNICKERBOCKER
Joe Knickerbocker became involved in BMX racing through his son Scott. He was a pioneer in the sport during the early days of Bicycle Motocross racing. He was involved in the development of the sport through volunteer work, assisting in the creation of the first BMX tracks in Nebraska – Yankee Hill BMX and the Lincoln YMCA. He used his construction skills, and equipment to play a vital role in building Yankee Hill BMX race track. Yankee Hill was the first official BMX track in Nebraska. He was a friend to many racers and parents. Joe was inducted into the Nebraska BMX Hall of Fame on August 21st, 2010.
