2010 INDUCTEE BERNIE CECH
Bernie Cech contributed to the early days of BMX in more ways than you can count. He helped build the first BMX track in Nebraska – Yankee Hill BMX. He volunteered countless hours to Yankee Hill and the Lincoln YMCA tracks. He hauled dozens of kids around the U.S.A. in his yellow BMX Van. He ran the starting gates at both tracks and would always lend a hand at Spinnin’ Spokes BMX and Gnarlsbad BMX. Words like “Best BMX Dad”, and “Every BMXers friend” say it all about Bernie. He was also involved in running the Mr. Bike race team. Bernie was inducted into the Nebraska BMX Hall of Fame on August 21st, 2010.
