History of the Nebraska BMX Hall of Fame:

The Nebraska BMX Hall of Fame was created by Tim Lillethorup and Jerry Jensen in 2010. What began as a reunion of the original BMX racers from the 1970’s soon became the 2010 Nebraska BMX Reunion and Hall of Fame. That memorable first year we honored riders from the first two Nebraska bike shop teams, founding track operators and influential parents who all helped create BMX racing in Nebraska. The Nebraska BMX Hall of Fame includes a long list of notable names from BMX history including Greg Grubbs (Factory Redline, Factory SE, Factory Hyper, and National BMX Hall of Fame), Joe Baumert (Woodward BMX Camp, Factory Kuwahara), Doug Olson (Factory Torker) and Brad Fanshaw (ABA Editor/Photographer & VP, current co-host of Car Warriors on the Speed Channel).

Nebraska was the first state to create a state BMX Hall of Fame event, dinner and induction ceremony. 2012 will mark our third annual event. Since 2010 other states have created BMX Hall of Fames including our friends in Texas who have done an amazing job with their events.
