Scott Holman was an original member of the Bill’s Bicycle Barn BMX Race Team from Omaha, Nebraska. He was a pioneer in the sport during the early days of Bicycle Motocross racing. He helped build Omaha’s first BMX track called Spinnin’ Spokes and raced at many of the first BMX tracks in Nebraska under the National Bicycle Association (NBA) sanction. He also raced in the American Bicycle Association (ABA). Scott was inducted into the Nebraska BMX Hall of Fame on August 21st, 2010.

Scott's father Ron Holman is the man behind Spinnin' Spokes BMX track in Omaha, Nebraska. Scott was the little man behind the big man. He was always working hard with his dad and the older BMXers to build the track and run the races.

Wherever we traveled to compete, Scott was there too. He was like a little brother to each of us, always trying his best and always with a smile and no complaints.

Scott's family moved to Chandler, Arizona when Ron took a job at ABA. Shortly afterward, I also moved to Arizona to work at ABA. In between work and on weekends Scott and I rode together at Chandler BMX and many of the other tracks in the Phoenix area. He also helped out at the ABA and assisted on many of the bike reviews and product tests we wrote for the ABA newspaper.

I'm proud to help induct my friend Scott Holman into the Nebraska BMX Hall of Fame.
